The death of Mino Raiola at the age of 54 leaves a legacy of an empire: a player representation agency that manages the destiny of some of the biggest stars in the world of football, which includes the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Erling Haaland, Paul Pogba and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The questions now that Raiola is no longer with us are varied: Who will stay with the agency? Will the players stay with the company? Or will they change their agent?

According to Forbes, Raiola had an estimated net worth of 84.7 million dollars. The super-agent was among the top five most powerful sports agents in the world and earned his money through commissions from transfer negotiations.

During his career, he negotiated more than 847.7 million dollars in contracts.

His team

Raiola‘s agency is built on a simple foundation. It has been constructed on a structure of few people, all of whom are highly trusted.

The key person in the negations was Rafaela Pimienta, his lawyer and Mino‘s partner for 20 years.

In addition, as people who worked on a day-to-day basis in player recruitment and in providing services to his players, there was Vincenzo Raiola, his cousin, and Jose Fortes, a Spaniard who lives in Amsterdam and who was a key member of the organisation in terms of recruitment.

The future of the players

According to people close to Raiola contacted by MARCA, the family will keep on with the agency, so they will continue to broker the transfers of the players they are in charge of.

Two of them are key – Ibrahimovic and Pogba – and both are willing to remain in the structure. Raiola‘s relationship with these two players was very personal.

As for the others, including Haaland, we will have to see what happens in the future, although, in principle, they are counting on them staying on… at least for now.
