Youri Tielemans could leave Leicester City for as little as 25 million pounds this summer due to his contract situation, which has attracted the interest of Real Madrid among others.

The 24-year-old’s contract with the Foxes is set to expire in the summer of 2023, which means that he could leave in a cut-price deal at the end of this current campaign.

Tielemans has been reluctant to put pen to paper on a new deal, and a number of top European teams are interested in him.

According to the Telegraph, Liverpool, Manchester United are Real Madrid are the three most high-profile names after his signature.

Successor to Kroos?

The British publication stated that Real Madrid have identified Tielemans as a possible successor to Toni Kroos.

Whilst on international duty last week, the Belgian midfielder himself said that he is fully focused on the remainder of this season with Leicester.

“I don’t worry about [speculation over my future],” he said.

“I want to get the most out of myself this season and finish as high as possible with the team.”

Tielemans has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League since arriving in the West Midlands from Monaco in January 2019.

The highlight of his spell with the Foxes so far came in last season’s FA Cup final, with an unstoppable strike to hand his side a 1-0 victory over Chelsea.

All eyes will be on Tielemans this Saturday, as Leicester travel to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
