Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker TJ Watt met his match when it comes to pickleball, a local mom who “whooped” him and Alex Highsmith as she teamed up with Minkah Fitzpatrick.
The woman, named Meg, shared a screenshot to her family chat of her standing alongside Watt, Highsmith and Fitzpatrick on the pickleball court. She explained that she had no idea who the three men were but that people wanted to take their picture after the pickup game.
“So I rolled up to North Park tonight to jump in a pick up pickleball game. Started playing with these guys. Had no idea who they were,” Meg wrote. “Last game the guy in the green shirt and I whooped the other two.
“Then everyone else there wanted to take our photo.”

Meg’s daughter shared the screencap on Twitter and it went viral, even reaching Watt’s account. The NFL superstar retweeted the photo and admitted that he was having “trouble all day” playing against her.
“Meg was serving the HEAT. We had trouble all day,” Watt wrote.
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in America and a lot of professional athletes are picking it up in the off-season. It’s a mixture between tennis, ping-pong and badmington.
