For Tom Brady, the trip to Germany to face the Seattle Seahawks was ultimately a very pleasant experience according to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback’s own words, however, it wasn’t necessarily all pleasant for the 45-year-old in the first game played at Munich’s Allianz Arena in NFL history.

In the latest episode of the Let’s Go! podcast in which he shares microphones with host Jim Gray and legendary Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Brady confessed that the interception that running back Leonard Fournette suffered during the game on an attempted pass into his zone was a moment that generated an unwelcome emotion for him.

A moment Tom Brady would like to forget

Shame about that play, I won’t forget it. I haven’t had many receptions in my career, so I thought it would be pretty cool to have one in Germany,” Brady said to Gray’s question. “What happened was when the ball was in the air I obviously knew I wasn’t going to catch it and I tried to propel myself to at least get in the way of the defender, but I slipped and then fell on my face.”

Fortunately for TB12 and company that play did not end up costing them the win, on the contrary, they ended up beating the Seahawks 21-16 to move to a 5-5 record as sole leaders of the NFC South one game ahead of the Atlanta Falcons as they now enjoy their bye week.

Stability for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers

A couple of weeks ago, the Bucs were in crisis, with a 3-5 record and three losses in a row they seemed to be in free fall, for Brady things have stabilized.

“I think we’re in a better place obviously than we were five quarters ago,” Brady said, “And, you know, we found a way to beat the Rams, which was a great win for our team. And then to go to Germany and win to get to 5-5 before the bye was a big goal for all of us. So, look, I think it’s a challenging year in the NFL.
