Tom Brady‘s post-football career is already taking shape. We know we’ll be seeing home in front of the cameras for a long time to come after signing a record $540 million contract to be Fox Sports leading analyst. But now we know he’ll also be involved in the latest sporting craze: pickleball. Following the steps of LeBron James and other stars, Tom Brady is now part of an expansion team that will begin play in the 2023 MLP season.
Six-time tennis Grand Slam champion Kim Clijsters will also be getting in with the same ownership group. The group, led by Knighthead Capital Management LLC, also includes Knighthead founder Tom Wagner, film producer Matt Alvarez, and Wall Street bond saleswoman Callie Simpkins.

The goal of pickleball is to have 40 million players by 2030. And to make things more attractive, the MLP (Major League Pickleball) will be handing out $2 million in 2023.
It seems like Tom Brady has found a new love for the future, albeit a platonic one. The NFL’s goat couldn’t hide his enthusiasm and recorded a hype video for social media saying he’s coming in the be the greatest ever… in pickleball.
Why did Tom Brady choose pickleball?
“Look, I’ve been trying to find a way to extend my professional sports career beyond my 40’s. Even into my 50’s, 60’s… 70’s! As long as I can, right? I think I have the answer, and everyone else seems to have it too. Pickleball!”, Tom Brady posted.
“I am super excited to announce that I am officially joining the MLP family. We’re going to keep bringing awareness of this this to the whole country, to the whole world”, he went on.
But Brady is Brady, we know he’s the most competitive person ever: “And look, you know how I am with competition, right? I love that it’s become such a popular neighborhood game. It’s a great way to get out of the house. But I’m coming to dominate the sport. Pickleball, let’s f**king go!”
