Before the AFC Championship Game, there was an incident between Justin Tucker and Travis Kelce. Kelce told Tucker to move during Partick Mahomes‘s warm-up, which led to Kelce kicking Tucker‘s ball away and throwing his opponent’s helmet.

Kelce later discussed the incident on his podcast, mentioning that kick specialists often try to find the best spot for the wind.
“If you’re trying to go on to the other teams designated area, you kind of stay out of their way. You know you don’t interfere with what they have going on. That is the unwritten rule,” Travis told his brother Jason Kelce on their podcast New Heights.

Chiefs secured the win
Tucker clarified that it was all in good fun, but the Chiefs players didn’t initially see it that way.
Despite the tension, the Chiefs won the game to reach the Super Bowl, and Kelce‘s pre-game incident with Tucker didn’t affect the outcome.
TheSan Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will face off in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11 in Las Vegas, a rematch from their clash in Super Bowl LIV after the 2019 season, which the Chiefs won 31-20.
