National League Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Trevor Bauer has been sidelined from MLB since 2021 after allegations of sexual abuse against him by several women surfaced, and while there were no criminal consequences, he did receive a suspension from Major League Baseball.

In fact, Bauer received the longest suspension in MLB history when he was punished for 194 games for breaking Major League Baseball’s sexual abuse policy.

The Los Angeles Dodgers terminated their working relationship with the pitcher and in 2023 he played in Japan for the NPB’s Yokohama DeNa Baystars, where he was one of the best pitchers in the circuit.

Bauer admitted his mistakes and claims to have ‘changed’

Today, Bauer, remembered for having a tough and abrasive personality, shows himself as a different person seeking the favor of any MLB team that wants to give him another chance, as he mentioned in an interview with Fox News, admitting his mistakes in the past.

Bauer last played in the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, just signing a three-year, $102 million contract. In that campaign, he made 17 starts with 107.2 innings pitched with a 2.59 ERA+ and a 163 ERA+.

After the allegations against him for sexual abuse were made public, MLB placed Bauer on administrative leave and he was subsequently suspended.
