Max Verstappen sealed his second consecutive Formula 1 Grand Prix win after a fine race in Miami on Sunday night.

The Dutchman managed to make a key pass in Lap 9, capitalising on a small twitch from Charles Leclerc that allowed Verstappen to close right up and use DRS down the home straight to get by at Turn 1.

Verstappen continued to pull clear of his Ferrari opponents and even when he pitted in Lap 27, he still came out seven seconds ahead Leclerc in second place, with Carlos Sainz in the lead at the time.

It was a tense finish with the safety car coming on during the 46th lap, with the chasing pack ready to give their all to overtake the Dutchman.

Perez’s attempt went wrong and ended off track, while Leclerc also was unsuccessful.

Verstappen’s win means he is second on the leaderboard, 19 points off leader Leclerc.
