Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns benefited -in a way- from the verdict imposed by former federal judge Sue L. Robinson.

Sue L. Robinson concluded that Watson should serve a six-game suspension for more than 20 misconduct allegations.

According to Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the victims, Deshaun Watson agreed to settle the last three lawsuits against him.

In a statement released Sunday night, the NFLPA made clear they have no intention of appealing the ruling, no matter the outcome.

What’s next for Deshaun Watson after his suspension?

According to the information, Watson can appeal de verdict. However, the NFLPA said they won’t make a move and accept the outcome.

“First, we have fully cooperated with every NFL inquiry and provided the NFL with the most comprehensive set of information for any personal conduct policy investigation,” the statement released by the NFLPA said.

“Every player, owner, business partner, and stakeholder deserves to know that our process is legitimate and will not be tarnished based on the whims of the League office.”

“This is why, regardless of her decision, Deshaun and the NFLPA will stand by her ruling and we call on the NFL to do the same,” the statement ends.

If Watson wants to appeal the decision, he has two business days to submit a written statement to reduce the sanction.

“The appeal shall be limited to arguments why, based on the evidentiary record below, the amount of discipline, if any, should be modified,” the CBA argued.

Both Watson and the Cleveland Browns obtained a low sanction compared to the last punishments imposed by the NFL.

Is the NFL tolerating abuse?

Calvin Ridley obtained a season-long suspension for betting money on the NFL.

Meanwhile, Watson, Kareem Hunt, Derrius Guice, Jarran Reed, Jameis Winston, Jimmy Smith, Ezekiel Elliott, and Josh Brown -to mention some NFL players- had assault allegations or domestic violence allegations, and the NFL suspended them from four to eight games.
