Roman Reigns is the undisputed WWE world champion after defeating Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales three weeks ago in a nail-biting finish that featured Solo Sikoa, Austin Theory and an ‘unexpected’ guest: British boxer Tyson Fury.

Before the fight was over, Theory tried to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, but Fury prevented him from doing so.

As McIntyre tried to finish off the champion, Sikoa arrived and pulled the referee out of the ring, which allowed The Tribal Chief to submit the challenger with a spear and retain his title.

After beating Theory, Fury entered the ring for a brief confrontation with Reigns, and both fighters shook hands before The Tribal Chief walked to the back.

According to Wrestling Observer reporter Dave Meltzer, this interaction could lead to match between Roman Reigns and Tyson Fury in the future, a plan that Triple H himself has hinted at in recent interviews, saying the boxer has the potential to do something special in WWE.

Roman Reigns’ next defence

Roman Reigns will not put his titles on the line at Extreme Rules in October, as he will defend his unified championship at WWE Crown Jewel 2022 at the Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabaia against YouTuber Logan Paul on November 5.

Having a star like Roman Reigns is a huge plus for WWE, however, it also poses a complex challenge, because he has little participation in weekly events.

Not to mention, according to Wrestlevotes, the company doesn’t want The Tribal Chief to lose before WrestleMania 39, but they would also like to get to the show with two champions.
