Zinedine Zidane reportedly ticks all the boxes for the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF), who are in search of a coach to succeed Tite after the national team’s disappointing 2022 World Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti‘s name was also mentioned in reports about the potential successor, but the Real Madrid coach is solely focused on his own team and does not contemplate any other possible scenario than that of fulfilling his contract.

“For the moment, I’m great at Real Madrid, we have many objectives this season,” Ancelotti told ‘Radio Anch’io Sport’ recently.

“There will be time to think about my future. I have a contract until June 30, 2024 and, if Real Madrid don’t send me away before then, I’m not going to move.”

Zinedine and other options

Meanwhile, L’Equipe claimed that Zidane could be one of the potential candidates for the Brazil job. According to the French newspaper, Zidane meets all the CBF requirements as he is foreign, free agent and boasts a very complete resume.

However, they mention that everything will depend on Didier Deschamps‘ decision on his France national team future. Should Deschamps resign, Zidane would be the main candidate to succeed him at Les Blues.

Marcelo Gallardo, Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto Martinez and Rafa Benitez were also mentioned by L’Equipe as potential candidates.

Three Champions League titles

The Frenchman, who has won three consecutive Champions League titles with Real Madrid, has already coached several Brazilian players such as Vinicius Junior, Eder Militao and Casemiro.
