American politician Vivek Ramaswamy has thrown his weight behind an online conspiracy theory which claims that the Super Bowl is rigged so that the Kansas City Chiefs will be victorious. Given the incredible level of media attention that Taylor Swift‘s relationship with Travis Kelce has generated for Swifties , the Chiefs, and by extension the NFL, some fans think it would be very convenient for the sport if Swift gets to watch her partner win the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.

There is more to it than just that, though. Ramaswamy is a former Republican presidential candidate and he thinks that the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl will help Joe Biden win another term in the White House with the upcoming Presidential Election.

“I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month,” Ramaswamy wrote on X on Monday morning.

“And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months.”

Why would a Chiefs win help Biden?

The link is that the New York Times recently revealed that Swift, a known Democrat, is a top target for Biden’s campaign. An endorsement from her could be worth an incredible number of votes.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre spoke about this on CNN, where she had to choose her words very carefully.

“Let me first say, I’ve got to be really mindful. I’m a federal employee, as you know, there’s something called the Hatch Act, so I certainly can not speak to anything that is related to 2024 in the upcoming election,” Jean-Pierre said.

“Obviously, there are a lot of, in my shop, in the press office shop, there are a lot of Swifties, if you will: fans of Taylor Swift. I’m just going to leave it there.”
