Who is Zilingo CEO, Ankita Bose? What has happened to her?
Ankita Bose, the embattled CEO and Founder of Zilingo revealed following her suspension by the Singapore-based e-commerce firm. The company did not allow them to respond to any of the claims levelled against her.
She stated that she is unsure of her future moves; however, “there is more to this allegation, suspension, firing tale”. She did not explicitly state that she would contest her firing in court. Bose did state that she was leaving all options on the table. She denied all the questions about her harassment accusations.
“I have been suspended for the last 51 days on the basis of an anonymous whistle-blower complaint, and today I am informed that my employment has been terminated inter alia on grounds of ‘insubordination’,”
Zilingo reportedly hired Kroll and Deloitte to conduct a forensic audit of the company’s charges against the previous CEO.
Ms Bose stated that she was terminated because the firm had authorised Kroll to examine the issue.
“I have neither seen the Kroll nor Deloitte reports and have not been given sufficient time to produce any documents requested by them. Any report that comes outpost my termination would be vitiated as it seems to be instructed by conflicted parties, and we will pursue our rights against this witch-hunt to the full extent of the law. I will be speaking on record shortly with more details about the conflicts of interest in the manner this process was run,”
The insider revealed that she had submitted many harassment complaints against coworkers and a co-founder who is also a board member without divulging the names of those included in the complaints.
According to the source, Ms Bose began getting threats from phoney identities with vanishing email accounts from foreign servers, as well as footage of sexual offences that she filed to the board. According to the source, Ms Bose raised complaints regarding difficulties with the leadership and investors in August 2021.
“On April 11th, after her suspension on March 31, Ankita Bose brought to the board’s attention, for the first time, certain harassment-related issues pertaining to past time periods, which did not include any harassment complaints against investors or their nominees,”
