The year 2013 was a huge one for Legend and Teigen. It was the year the singer released his fourth album, “Love in the Future,” and the year the couple got married. In August 2013, Legend’s single “All of Me” was released, which, like the entire “Love in the Future” album, was dedicated to Teigen.

To commemorate the 10-year anniversary of his album’s release, Legend revealed the inspiration behind “Love in the Future,” which, to no surprise, was his love for Teigen. “As I look back on 2013, the year we got married, it was also a beautiful time creatively for me. Inspired by the love of my life, I was writing and recording my fourth studio album, ‘Love in the Future,’ and was declaring it ‘a new year for love,'” he wrote in an Instagram post. “Of course, the most impactful song was the one I sang at our wedding reception: ‘All of Me.’ The first time I sang it for Chrissy, I whispered it into her ear and she cried.”
