Angel Iris Murphy Brown: Meet Eddie Murphy and Mel B’s Cute Daughter Who Is Their Only Child Together

Angela Iris Murphy Brown, Eddie Murphy’s daughter, lives the best life imaginable as part of a beautifully blended family. However, she was once in the middle of a bitter custody battle between her famous parents.

Eddie Murphy, born in April 1961, is regarded as one of the greatest actors and comedians of all time; his talents continue to be appreciated worldwide. His successful career is only one aspect of his fame. He has been related to several women throughout his life.

The veteran actor has several children from previous relationships. One of his children is Angela Iris Murphy Brown, and her mother is none other than Melanie Janine Brown, a former member of the iconic girl group Spice Girls.

A SHORT-LIVED ROMANCE

The “Nutty Professor” actor had a whirlwind romance with Mel B in 2006 and split afterward. Although their relationship was short, the singer became pregnant and named Eddie the father of her child.

Unfortunately, the award-winning comedian, however, initially denied Mel B’s claims, adding that the baby would have to take a blood test to verify who the birth father was.

EDDIE’S REQUEST AFTER ANGEL’S BIRTH

Angel was born on Eddie’s 46th birthday, April 3, 2007. Since birth, Angel was the focus of public rumors and wild speculations primarily due to the reputation both of her parents have earned within the entertainment industry.

Even sharing a birthday with the comedian wasn’t enough to prove their familial connection; however, a DNA test confirmed that Eddie is Angela’s biological father.

Although such public and challenging circumstances would have caused anyone to think twice before embarking on a new romantic relationship, Mel B and Eddie started dating again shortly after.

In the “Beverly Hills Cop” actor’s case, he was in a relationship with entrepreneur Tracey Edmonds. After Tracy, he dated Australian model and actress Paige Butcher, with whom he has been together since 2012 and engaged since 2018.

Mel B, on the other hand, married Stephen Belafonte in 2007. However, they parted ways in 2017 after she claimed he had been physically abusive toward her during their time together.

Stephen claimed that Eddie was not interested in having a relationship with Angel and that the girl had called him dad from the time she started talking.

Mel B disagreed with Stephen’s request and pointed out that he was a bad influence on her daughter. At the moment, Eddie’s daughter lives with her mother and some of her siblings.

Even though Angel and Eddie’s relationship had a bumpy beginning, the father-daughter pair are in a much better place now than they were before.

EDDIE MURPHY AND ANGEL’S RELATIONSHIP NOWADAYS

In December 2018, Mel B underwent emergency surgery in England after breaking two ribs. Since the doctors ordered her to stay in the U.K. to recover, Mel B’s daughter had to stay with her father.

Fortunately, Eddie, Angel, and his children had a very good time together. For Christmas, the comedian posed with all of his ten children in their first public photo together.

A source reportedly said the comedian made efforts to ensure that his other children would have a close relationship with Angel. When the young girl had a school event, her siblings were there to cheer her on and show their support. The source added:

“They all have a very good relationship.”

The source described Eddie as an “amazing father,” Angela immediately established a good relationship with her celebrity father. Aside from showing affection to the young girl, comedy legend would lavish her with gifts as if every day were her birthday.

Eddie’s lovely relationship with Angela demonstrates that he is also on good terms with Angela’s mother. According to the source, the former couple is no longer at odds and peacefully co-parent their daughter.

Angela has two more siblings on her mother’s side, Madison and Phoenix Chi Gulzar, in addition to the Murphy siblings.

The “Coming 2 America” actor is a hands-on parent in the same vein as Mel B. According to the source, Eddie was sure he would be there to support the “Wannabe” hitmaker in any way he could.

ANGELA IRIS MURPHY BROWN’S SIBLINGS

Angel has a total of eleven siblings from different mothers. Bria, Bella, Miles, Shayne Audra, and Zola Ivy are her siblings; they are the children of Eddie’s former wife, model, and reality star Nicole Mitchell Murphy.

Eric and Christian are Angela’s other brothers. Her brothers are Eddie’s sons from his past relationships with Paulette McNeely and Tamara Hood.

Angela also has two younger siblings, Max Charles and Izzy Oona, whose mother is Eddie’s current fiancée, Paige. According to a source, Paige’s children have led low-key lives.

Angela has two more siblings on her mother’s side, Madison and Phoenix Chi Gulzar, in addition to the Murphy siblings. Mel B’s former husband, actor Jimmy Gulzar is Madison and Phoenix’s father.

Of Angel’s eleven siblings, Phoenix is probably one of the most famous. Born in February 1999, she was part of the Channel 4 TV series “Born Famous.”
