Bradley Cooper Turned 48 — He Only Child’s Mom Are ‘Not Bennifer 2.0’ Yet ‘Thinking’ of Getting Back Together

Bradly Cooper is a father of one and shares his child with his former girlfriend. Although the couple parted ways following the birth of their daughter, they are reportedly considering rekindling their romance.

Actor Bradley Cooper turned 48 years and is a proud dad of one child. Cooper and his ex-girlfriend, Irina Shayk, welcomed their daughter Lea de Seine in March 2017.

Per E! News, Shayk debuted her growing baby bump while walking the runway at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She and Cooper first started dating in May 2015.

After the news of the birth of their then-newborn became public knowledge, the family of three stepped out for the first time, went for a stroll in Venice Beach, California, and stopped at Jeni’s Ice Cream Shop.

Per People, Cooper talked about how fatherhood has changed his life during an appearance on “SmartLess” podcast in June 2022:

“Everything changed. Every single thing is shaded by, or brought into glorious colors, by the fact that I get to be a father to a wonderful human being.”

The proud dad explained that having thrilling “moments” such as having a blast on set, a “breakthrough with a script,” or “in the editing room” are just as joyous as spending time with his daughter daily. “That’s not spinning it. That’s just the truth,” the filmmaker added.

Cooper’s Thoughts about His Daughter

Cooper once joked during an interview with Interview magazine that he runs a “one-man preschool,” adding that he and his child “get up, we do swim class in the bathtub.”

The two-time Grammy Award winner told NPR his daughter helps him live life spontaneously by being “present” for instance:

“Having a child and having a family of my own – which is a miracle and something I’ve always dreamt of – has opened me up even more, I guess, to the day, and to be present.”

Cooper said he wants Lea to have the same upbringing he had as a child: “I just always want her to feel loved.”

The Pennsylvania native once told Oprah Winfrey that his daughter reminds him of his father, Charles, who sadly died from lung cancer in 2011.

Cooper shared, “I see my father in her quite often,” adding that at times he would look at her and say, “Dad?” because there are times when Lea “looks just like my father.”

The “Limitless” star admitted that having his daughter has reignited his childlike self again as he plays “with toys all day long” without feeling “weird” about it and watches “cartoons endlessly” too without a care in the world.

Shayk & Cooper Reportedly Want Another Child Together

Cooper and his child’s mother broke up in 2019 after four years together. Shayk and “The Hangover” star never dished on why they split. However, there was speculation that Cooper got too close to his co-star in “A Star Is Born,” Lady Gaga. Everything unfolded ahead of the film’s release.

Per Marie Claire via People, an insider revealed that Cooper was so consumed with the movie that he neglected his relationship with the Russian model. The source added that he and Shayk attempted to salvage their relationship but failed to because things were no longer the same.

The pair have reportedly not been involved in serious relationships since they split. An insider revealed to Page Six in September 2022 that the duo might get back together and hope to have another child.

Cooper and Shayk posted a photo from their tropical family vacation, and a source disclosed that they may be thinking of reconciling, adding the mom of one “would like her daughter to have a sibling.” The doting dad is reportedly on board with the possibility of bringing another child into the world.

Meanwhile, the BAFTA Award winner has been spending time with American politician Huma Abedin, but an insider shared that their connection was casual. On the other hand, Shayk has been briefly romantically linked to rapper Kanye West and art dealer Vito Schnabel.

A source said Cooper and Shayk are both not in committed relationships but are keen on having a baby together, adding:

“It’s not Bennifer 2.0 where the other person is always in the back of their head. It’s more like, ‘why not?’ They have to deal with each other anyway since they are parents together. They are both thinking, maybe it’s time to finally really settle in.”

When Cooper and Shaky went their separate ways, an insider revealed that they were trying to fix things for the sake of their daughter, but nothing worked, making things tense. “Neither one is happy,” the source divulged at the time.

Since that encounter, the co-parents seem to be doing much better and continue to fuel rumors of a possible reunion. Per the Daily Mail, Cooper and Shayk were spotted embracing each other on the streets of New York in September 2022.

The pair shared a hug while walking with their five-year-old daughter, Lea, and both walked hand-in-hand with their child while crossing the street.

In 2021, Hollywood Pipeline spotted the duo stepping outside in NYC as they got inside a black Mercedes G-Class.

Once the car approached the pair, who were walking behind each other, the Academy Award nominee showed his gentle manners by opening the door for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model in the backseat. After that, he gave one of the paparazzi members an autograph and climbed inside, taking the front seat.

The publication also shared photos of Cooper carrying the duo’s daughter, who donned a pink dress while he opted for beige pants paired with a blue shirt and matching sneakers. Meanwhile, her mom wore flowy black pants with a white top and completed her look with black sandals and shades.
