Christopher’s Wife: The ‘A Beautiful Life’ Star Is Happily Married to Cecilie Haugaard

Actor and longtime musician Christopher has been happily married to TV presenter Cecile Haugaard since 2019, but the lovebirds have been together for much longer. They have also expanded their family with two adorable children.

In May 2023, Netflix released the Danish musical drama “A Beautiful Life,” following a young humble fisherman, Elliot, with an incredible voice. Elliot is discovered by a music manager, Suzanne, during his performance during an open mic session at a bar.

His journey to stardom quickly ensues, and along the way, he finds love with Suzanne’s daughter, producer Lilly. However, as promising as his rise becomes, it is riddled with challenges and past hurts that threaten his newfound happiness and success.

Elliot is played by Danish singer Christopher, the film’s lead and executive producer. His main co-stars include actors Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Christine Albeck Børge, and Ardalan Esmaili.

However, apart from booming success in the entertainment industry, Christopher is a happily married family man, and he’s not afraid to show it. The star often showers his wife and kids online with heartwarming appreciation posts and tributes.

Christopher drew his first breath in Frederiksberg, Denmark, on January 31, 1992. He started as a musician in 2011 and became one of his home country’s biggest stars.

With over two billion streams to his name, his music is largely streamed in Europe and Asian regions, including China, Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore. He received the “Most Promising International Artist” award at the SCTV Awards in Indonesia in 2018.

He embarked on his first European tour two years later, performing in many sold-out shows. Christopher also began dipping his toes in the acting world. He scored a brief role in the comedy-drama series “Centrum” in 2020.

He then landed his first major role in a Netflix original, the romantic drama “Toscana,” in 2022, followed by “A Beautiful Life,” in 2023. Although the latter film is primarily fictional, it is partially based on Christopher’s success story.

Christopher celebrated their first wedding anniversary, writing, “You make me laugh harder than anyone I know and you make me LOVE LIFE more than I knew I could.”

Her husband often celebrates his love for her with sweet tributes and random appreciation posts. In October 2022, Christopher called Cecilie his “most favorite human being,” his “Wonder Woman,” and his “very own punchline machine,” as he wished her a happy birthday.

Christopher and Cecilie welcomed their first child, Noelle Nissen Haugaard, in March 2021. Before her arrival, Christopher opened up about how overwhelming yet exciting the prospect of fatherhood was, saying:

“I feel vulnerable, and I’m also excited and terrified. It’s a whole new level of worry and responsibility. I think it captures the point that you don’t know what it means to become parents until you’re in the middle of it.”
