Siblings in the foster care system often dream of being adopted together, but it’s not always possible. A group of brothers and sisters were separated for three years when something incredible happened.

Fifteen-year-old Shay had never attended the same school for two years in a row, and the constant moving around left her stressed and anxious.

The young girl had four siblings, and she constantly wondered about them. All five children were waiting to be adopted, but years went by, and they had no luck.

ANOTHER JOYFUL SIBLING ADOPTION

Sibling adoptions are rare because parents cannot always take in multiple children. Thankfully, one couple could officially adopt a group of siblings last year. Angela and Elliott Turbeville fostered a family of six kids for two years.

They dreamed about making things official, and just before Christmas in 2021, their dream finally came true. The brood that consisted of five girls and one boy was thrilled with the surprise and grateful to have a forever home.

The Turbeville and Moffitt households are busy and full of life. While things are not always easy, the families would not change anything.
