Cydney Cathalene Chase is a talented singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on January 4, 1983, and is the oldest daughter of her comedian, actor, and writer father, Chevy Chase.

Cydney is a woman of many talents, especially in music, and she usually shows off her outstanding skills on her public social media pages. She is a skilled guitar player who uses her vocal talent to pay tribute to people close to her heart.

After the English musician and songwriter Christie McVie died on November 30, 2022, Cydney honored her with the musician’s song “Songbird.”

Also, after losing a close friend, she offered a special tribute to her friend by singing and playing the guitar in a post she shared on Facebook.

Sometimes, Cydney also offers vocal advice along with her cover videos. In one of her posts, while playing and singing, she wrote:

“Standing up affects the voice, usually in a positive way.”

Not only is she a talented musician, but she also has a passion for painting and photography. She would sometimes take pictures of the outdoors and her dogs.

In October 2022, she revealed on Instagram that she had recently learned how to work with exposure, contrast, and highlights in an iPhonography workshop by Yoni Mayeri.

Cydney Cathalene Chase Doesn’t Shy Away from Public Attention

Unlike some of her siblings, Cydney basks under her father’s celebrity status. She’s often present whenever her father attends red-carpet events.

In 2006, she attended the opening night performance of “Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me,” a Broadway musical, with her parents and siblings.

The following year, she also attended the screening of “Brando” with Chevy Chase, who is set on returning to acting with his on-screen wife, Beverly D’Angelo, on another road trip comedy.

In 2010, she attended the annual Fisherman’s Ball with her parents and was with them at the New York premiere of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” in 2012.

Her social media accounts are not private, and Cydney uses the medium to share images from her family outings and wholesome throwback photos from her younger years.

In one photo, she shared that she acted in middle school. She had played the part of Hilda in a play, “Plain and Fancy,” despite getting sick the night before and sang even though she had a sore throat.

Cydney had shared several images of family vacations. On one trip, they went to the Mohonk Mountain House, and on several others, they went on a Disney dream cruise.

Cydney Cathalene Chase Is Now Happily Married to Her ‘The One’

Cydney is married to the real estate agent Ryan Bartell, although information about their marriage is not available to the public. However, she often openly declares her love for him on social media.

In June 2019, when they were apart, she posted a picture of them together and wrote that she was missing him. In August 2021, she also posted a picture congratulating him for pending his first sale.

For his birthday on October 7, 2021, Cydney posted carousel pictures of herself and Ryan. In the caption, she wrote:

“I really got the handsomest, sweetest, funniest and most steadfast man I could have asked for! Thank you for standing by me and for being my One ☝🏼 and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Baby!!”

Cydney is also a nature lover and is involved with philanthropy as she supports the Andrew K. Dwyer Foundation. The organization aims to make a difference in the lives of young people.
