The “Skin of My Teeth” singer revealed a big, gnarly cut across their forehead in a tongue-in-cheek July 13 TikTok video. “Guess who hit their head on a crystal and has to get stitches before ‘Kimmel’ tomorrow???,” they captioned the vid, using the viral “They Are Gonna Know” sound and silently mouthing, “F**k.”
With their new album “Holy Fvck” dropping in August, Lovato was all set to perform on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on July 14, one day before their new single, “Substance,” is released as well, per USA Today. Despite the unlucky timing of the injury, Lovato appeared to be taking things in stride, smiling in their TikTok while sporting short hair and a casual tee. As longtime fans of Lovato pointed out, the singer’s clumsiness seems part of their brand. “Remember when you broke your leg and told it the story on Kimmel. Now you have another,” one fan commented on their TikTok. “This is so a Demi thing though OGs are not surprised,” another wrote, adding, “It means its gonna be a good era.”
One particular Lovatic echoed many others’ sentiments when they noted that the singer’s gash only “adds to the badass rockstar look.”
