Although Olivia Wilde has told journalists at the Venice Film Festival, via People, how “grateful” she is for Florence Pugh and how she won’t contribute any more to the gossip on the internet, Instagram posts by Wilde’s and Pugh’s personal stylists tell a different story.
Pugh’s stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, captioned an Instagram photo carousel of the star’s looks with “Miss Flo,” clearly a reference to how Wilde referred to Pugh in her phone call with Shia LaBoeuf. But, not to be outdone, Wilde’s stylist, Karla Welch, posted to her Instagram stories (via Twitter) the cryptic message, “There’s always more to the story…”
Will we ever learn what “more” to the story there is? Well, Wilde told reporters, per Entertainment Tonight, “As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute. It’s sufficiently well nourished.” That sounds like a no to us.
