Is Andy Cohen Married and a Father? A Look inside the Bravo TV Host’s Family Life

Andy Cohen is one of the most brilliant stars in Hollywood. He gained prominence as a TV host for the shows “Watch What Happens Live” and the “Real Housewives” franchise.

Adding to Cohen’s hosting credits are the “Andy Cohen: Then and Now” and “Love Connection.” Besides hosting shows, Cohen, who turns 54 on June 2, 2022, is also a published author. 

In 2016, he published his book “Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries.” Cohen may have a successful career, but his commitment to his family is much more amazing.

IS ANDY COHEN MARRIED?

Cohen is not married, but he had a few relationships in the past. The openly-gay TV presenter dated actor John Hill, famous for Broadway musicals “Hairspray” and “The Boy from Oz.” 

Unfortunately, Cohen and the musical theater actor have parted ways in 2020. The former pair have remained good friends despite their break-up.

Before dating Hill, the renowned talk show host revealed in 2016 that he dated handsome hunk Clifton Dassuncao, a Ph.D. student from Havard University. 

Although Dassuncao was 19 years younger than Cohen, it did not prevent the Bravo executive vice president from sharing sweet memories with the young student.

DOES ANDY COHEN HAVE ANY CHILDREN?

While putting his dating life on the side, Cohen has set his eyes on raising his two children – son, Benjamin Allen, 2, and one-month-old daughter Lucy Eve.

The proud father welcomed Benjamin through a surrogate on February 4, 2019, while Lucy was born on April 29, 2022, through a similar procedure. Cohen expressed his desire to become a father, even if it meant for him to raise his children alone.

Since becoming a single father, Cohen discussed how his dating life has changed after Benjamin’s birth, adding that the stakes are now “absolutely higher.”

Cohen noted that when looking for a suitable spouse, he considers numerous factors, one of which is taking responsibility as a good stepfather. On looking for a partner, Cohen said:

“I like very independent people who have their own things going with their own lives, who are very strong in their belief systems. That’s very attractive to me.”

HAVE ANDY COHEN AND ANDERSON COOPE DATED?

Recently fans of Cohen have been curious whether he considered dating his friend, CNN broadcaster Anderson Cooper after a mutual friend set both TV presenters on a blind date in the late 1990s.

Like Cohen, Cooper is also a proud father of two children, sons Wyatt, 2, and 3-month-old Wyatt, with whom the newscaster shares with his ex-partner Benjamin Maisani.

On why he never dated Cooper, Cohen previously addressed the fans’ question on “The Howard Stern Show” and said he and the award-winning broadcaster are just friends.

According to Cohen, dating is not part of his friendship with Cooper. “We’re not attracted to each other in that way,” Cohen said of the 54-year-old news anchor.

On the other hand, Cohen and Cooper like collaborating whenever the opportunity arises. Both fathers also enjoy playing with their children together during their days off.
