Jenna Fischer celebrated her 13th wedding anniversary on July 3, 2023, in a dorky fashion right up Pam Beesly’s alley – a forced perspective novelty photo at a museum.

In the photo taken at the Museum of Illusions New York, Jenna Fischer’s husband, Lee Kirk, looks like a giant beside “The Office” actress sitting on a chair. “13 years! Love of my life,” she wrote.

The timing of Kirk coming into her life around 2008 had a few serendipitous overlaps with the mockumentary that made her a star, namely their engagement and baby.

Jenna Fischer Hit Relationship Milestones with Her TV Character

While still going through her divorce from Marvel director James Gunn, Fischer’s working relationship with writer and director Kirk began to evolve from a platonic bond to a crush. During this time, they also made a film, “Giant Mechanical Man.”

There was some hesitation from both sides as Kirk had also recently gotten out of a long-term relationship. They officially started dating in January 2008 and made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the Emmy Awards that same year.

The creative duo became engaged on a trip to Europe on June 30, 2009, months after John Krasinski‘s Jim Halpert proposed to her character at a gas station.

The couple married in a Malibu ceremony officiated by Fischer’s friend, “Survivor” host Jeff Probst. Many colleagues, including Rainn Wilson, attended the event.

Lee Kirk has a unique tie to his wife’s show. He had a cameo as Clark, the lactation specialist who makes Halpert uncomfortable in “The Delivery Part Two.”

Jenna Fischer‘s husband has also directed an episode from the final season of “The Office.” In addition to his input in “Giant Mechanical Man,” he is the writer and director of “Ordinary World.”

The Fischer/Kirk family grew with the birth of their first baby, Weston Lee Kirk, on September 24, 2011, and again with their daughter Harper Marie Kirk on May 25, 2014.
