It has been 45 years of marital bliss for Judge Judith Sheindlin, or as she is popularly known, Judge Judy, and her husband, author, television personality, jurist, and attorney Jerry Sheindlin.

The two first married in 1977 but divorced in 1990, partially due to Judy’s stress and struggles after her father passed away. However, they could not stay apart too long, and a year later, they reconciled and have been together since.

Even after being together for so long, the pair still looks happy and in love. They still go out on dates and have often been spotted out on outings together. The lovebirds were recently photographed stepping out for lunch after a recent getaway in the Bahamas.

The pair were spotted walking closely together, with Judy rocking a long-sleeved T-shirt, dark-wash jeans, a leather bag, and a matching belt. On the other hand, Jerry looked simple in a charcoal gray button-down shirt and dark slacks. The two wore matching black and white sneakers.

The judge spotted a cute smile and appeared happy walking by her husband’s side. After nearly a half-century of weathering the challenges of marriage, as is the case in all marriages, the pair remains devoted to each other. Judy confessed that Jerry was the man she wanted to spend forever with.

How Did Judge Judy Celebrate Her 80th Birthday with Her Big Family?

Judy reached a remarkable milestone on October 21, after she turned 80. To celebrate, the Family Court Judge reportedly flew her family to Musha Cay, an island in the Bahamas with crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches.

In total, there were 23 guests at her celebration. Big on family, Judy believes there was no better way to celebrate that milestone than with one’s loved ones. She said:

“One could not have a better birthday than surrounded by the people you love who love you in an idyllic and unspoiled space.”

The TV personality and her husband boast of busy lives and career schedules, with Judy now hosting “Justice Judy” on FreeVee, but they make time for each other and their family. Their dates are only part of how they spend time together.

While they have no biological children together, the pair are parents to their five kids from previous unions. Judy is a mom to Adam and Jamie from her marriage to Ronald Levy, while Jerry is a dad of three — Jonathan, Nicole, and Gregory from his previous marriage.

From their kids and stepkids, Judy and the former New York Supreme Court trial judge are proud grandparents of 13, who they love spending time with and doting on.

Judy is known as the harsh judge on TV, but her reputation remains confined to her courtroom. When she is with her grandchildren, she is the softest grandma and admits to spoiling her grandbabies a lot.

She confessed that she and her husband could not recall when they did not spoil their grandbabies, and sometimes they do not realize they are doing it. However, she noted that their children are bright and will try to stop it. She admitted:

“I spoil them. I’m trying to think of how we don’t but the answer is we do. We don’t even think we’re doing it, but their parents are very smart. They try to put the skids on it.”

Judy admits that she loves her job and would not consider retiring. Why? Because she still gets to do what she loves and can still spare plenty of time to spend with the children, her grandchildren, that are growing up fast, and her husband.
