Lauren Kutner Became Jason Dohring’s Wife Even before ‘Veronica Mars’ Hit the Screens – All We Know About Her

Hollywood actor Jason Dohring has been married to Lauren Kutner for nearly two decades. The couple tied the knot in 2004, the same year Jason played Logan in “Veronica Mars,” arguably his most famous role in film and television.

Dohring began acting ten years earlier but mostly played insignificant roles in television and film until his big breakthrough in “Veronica Mars,” where he played the character of Veronica’s husband, Logan Echolls. After that, he began getting more starring roles in TV series like “Moonlight” and “Searching for Sonny.”

2004 proved to be quite a memorable year for the actor because of the significant steps he took in his professional and personal life. That year, he married Kutner, whom he remains with to this day. The duo has welcomed four children together along the way, and Kutner is not in Hollywood like her husband.

Kutner is a trained artist. She began learning to be an artist while still a teenager, being taught in the tradition of the old masters. She uses oil and charcoal to demonstrate her representational art. Kutner also expanded her studies to include modern masters and presents her work as portraits, Plein air, and still-life landscapes.

Her work mostly shows her appreciation of the outdoors, which is made more special by her and her family’s residence on a Los Angeles farm with fruit trees, chickens, and bees. In 2022, she finally made a fantastic first painting of her husband that she claims was long overdue. Commenting about her work, Kutner said:

“In my drawings and paintings, I am striving to create something beyond just a faithful representation of the subject. I want to share a sense of what that person or scene inspired in me at that moment. To capture the spirit of the subject, not just the physical details.”

Kutner and Dohring married in the summer of 2004, a few months before “Veronica Mars” started airing on UPN. Dohring was elevated to stardom thanks to the series, where he starred alongside Kristen Bell. Nearing two decades of marriage, the couple attributes their longevity to being friends before they became a couple. Dohring explained:

“We were friends beforehand in high school. You’re not having sex with a person that much, so you better like them. That’s what it’s all about: somebody who is your best friend and you’d want to hang out with.”

Generally, the couple tries to maintain a low profile as far as their personal lives are concerned. However, their subscription to the Scientology church is a well-known detail about them. The two are prominent community members and were the center of its Way to Happiness foundation campaign in 2018.

Jason Dohring Is a Proud Father of Four Kids with His Wife, Lauren

Just as they are private about themselves, the couple also does not show much about their children. There are a few instances where Dohring has spoken about his children during interviews.

In one interview, the actor talked about how his daughters are big fans of the movie “Frozen” and sing along to it word for word. He noted:

“My daughter sings all the ‘Frozen’ songs and has no idea what the words mean, but she’s word for word. Its just amazing.”

Kutner and Dohring have added four members to their family in their 18 years of marriage. They welcomed their first child, Owen, on August 11, 2010. Two years later, Lily was born on November 12, 2012. Owen and Lily accompanied their parents on the Scientology float at the Hollywood Christmas Parade.

Another four years went by until their third, Ainsley Mae, was born in 2016. They welcomed the last child so far, Isla Avery, in 2018. The couple tries to teach their children to show love for others and to treat others the way they would also want to be treated.
