Medical experts key witnesses in Daylesford fatal pub crash hearing



Families of those injured or killed in the November incident watched Thursday’s hearing remotely.

Anvi Sharma, 9, her mother Pratibha, 44, and her partner Jatin Kumar, 30, along with Vihaan Bhatia, 11, and his father, Vivek Bhatia, 38, all died when they were struck by Swale’s BMW.

Vihaan’s mother, Ruchi Bhatia, and brother, Abeer, were seriously injured during the collision on November 5.

Three other people, a 43-year-old woman from Kyneton, a 38-year-old man from Cockatoo and an 11-month-old boy were also injured and taken to hospital.

Mykytowycz extended Swale’s bail and ordered he returned to court on September 16.
