KEY POINTS

ISAAC HEENEY PLAYS HIS PART: What a performance from Swans’ talisman Isaac Heeney with 26 disposals, 17 kicks, 7 tackles and a goal. After a slow start to last season, he will enjoyed tonight. He looked back to his best tonight and lifted his Sydney team mates particularly when the going got briefly tough in the third quarter.

THE BATTLE OF RUCKS: Brodie Grundy looked like he enjoyed the contest tonight with Max Gawn and was comfortable out there back starring in AFL football. The Sydney crowd cheered his every move and he will only get more comfortable out there. Sydney definitely will be happy with his performance which wasn’t spectacular, but did everything asked of him.

QUIET TALLS: Although he got a goal in the end, Sydney tall forward Logan McDonald was quiet, with 8 disposals and 5 kicks. The humid conditions did not help him and he will have gained confidence from this outing and there is better to come.
