The Voice viewers have been left in dismay after the judges rejected 1990s pop royalty.

During Saturday evening’s episode of The Voice former member of The Honeyz made an appearance. Although, Mariama Goodman, 44, failed to impress judges Sir Tom Jones, Anne-Marie, Will.i.am, and Olly Murs.

Mariama now has a career away from music. She is a midwife and viewers took a glimpse into her life now.

Mariama said: “Today means a lot to me. I’ve always wanted to see how I would do being just me.”

After none of the judges turned their chairs around Mariama was philosophical. She said: “As soon as I saw my daughter in the corner and my voice broke.”

We saw @SocialMediaJon1 “Bring back The Honeyz.” While @hy76s said: “As if they turned down 90s pop royalty #thevoice.”

While @jess86h commented: “I can’t believe they rejected someone from The Honezy.”

Elsewhere, Olly Murs discussed his recent marriage to Amelia Tank. After asking Sir Tom for advice, Olly said: “Probably the happiest I’ve been in my life.”

This earned cheers from the audience and plaudits from Olly’s fellow judges.
