Weather maps have predicted that a ‘wall of snow’ is going to cover Yorkshire overnight as the region has been blanketed by a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.
The current weather warning is in place from 6pm tonight (December 2) until 12 noon tomorrow, December 3.
According to WXCharts, snow will come in from the west, passing over Liverpool and Manchester before arriving in Yorkshire tonight.

The snow front is expected to arrive at 9pm and continue through to Sunday morning, covering South, West, East and parts of North Yorkshire. The heaviest snow is expected across the whole of Yorkshire at 3am on Sunday with snowfall expected to continue throughout the early hours of the morning.

Snow is then expected to stay away for most of Sunday but will return at 6pm in Huddersfield, Leeds and possibly parts of South Yorkshire.
Snow is still predicted to be falling over Leeds and North Yorkshire at 9pm on Sunday.

WXCharts also shows temperatures of around 0C to -1C across much of Yorkshire tonight (December 3), including Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield and Huddersfield, when the majority of the snow will hit Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire will be colder, with temperatures of around -2C in some areas. Throughout Sunday, the temperature will increase, reaching above zero towards midday and into the afternoon. The evening will see temperatures drop below zero once again in Leeds, York, Huddersfield and Sheffield.
