The NYC Marathon took place and among the 50,000 runners who participated, several were celebrities running for the first time, while others were aiming to improve their times. From movie and TV stars to Olympians, pilots, models and other celebrities aimed to cross the finish line.
Here are some of the celebrities who participated in the race and the times they ran:
Ashton Kutcher (3:54:01).
At 44 years old, Kutcher participated in his first marathon, which he ran in support of his nonprofit organization, Thorn, whose goal is to eliminate child sexual abuse on the Internet.
Chelsea Clinton (4:20:34)
The daughter of former President Bill Clinton surprised last year when she participated in the race and finished it under 4 hours, although this time she couldn’t beat her record, but she did finish it, which was her goal.
Amy Robach (4:25:30)
The TV presenter ran her fourth marathon at the age of 49. She has completed those in New York in 2019, Berlin in 2021 and Chicago just a month ago.
Casey Neistat (3:54:28)
The filmmaker and YouTube star has finished the NYC Marathon five times, with his best coming in 2013 with 3:03:17 in 2013.
Claire Holt (4:03:17)
The 34-year-old actress is famous for her roles in H20: Just Add Water, Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries. She ran the NYC one to raise money for Boston Children’s Hospital.
Ellie Kemper (5:17:39)
The Kimmy Schmidt star, 42, ran the marathon to support The Brotherhood Sister Sol, an organization that educates, organizes and trains black and Latino youth to challenge inequality and create opportunity.
Monica Puig (4:32:39)
The gold medalist in tennis at the Rio Olympics made her debut as a marathon runner with this year’s edition, and while her time was high, she achieved her first goal of finishing it.
Tiki Barber (5:26:51)
The 47-year-old former New York Giants star has completed the last seven editions of the Big Apple’s premier road race. He had a very high time, but achieved his goal and completed it again.
