Gareth Bale is still searching for his optimum form at Los Angeles FC.

Injuries have been his big burden in recent seasons and now, in the United States, he is unable to find the fitness that will allow him to perform as he would like to for 90 minutes.

“I haven’t played 90 minutes yet and I’m working towards that goal. I think we are on the right track. Of course I want to play 90 minutes every time, but I understand that I need to prepare myself physically and that’s something I haven’t done in the last few seasons,” said the striker.

Bale has made 11 appearances for Los Angeles FC, but has not completed a single game. He made his debut against Nashville, has started twice and scored two goals: one against Kansas City and the other against Salt Lake. Everything is under control in his words.

“We have a plan in Los Angeles. Every player wants to play as much as they can, but we’re being smart and preparing to be in top condition for the last important part of the season,” he said.

Obviously the World Cup in Qatar is the big goal of the season for Bale. His intention is to have continuity in Los Angeles in order to be in top form for the World Cup finals.

“The aim is to get stronger so that I can help LAFC and Wales at the World Cup 100 per cent,” he said in conclusion.
