Tom Brady, considered the best player in NFL history, said the poor results he is experiencing in the 2022 NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have caused him to sometimes think he is the worst quarterback of all-time on current form.

“There are times when I go in and think I’m the worst quarterback who has ever played, that’s the way things are when you’re losing, you think everything is horrible, although it’s probably not all like that,” the 45-year-old veteran explained at a press conference.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner is going through one of the worst campaigns in his 23-year career with Tampa Bay. Although he has the Bucs as leaders of the American Conference South division, they have a record of five wins and six losses, leading the division only thanks to the fact that it is the least competitive in the NFL.

“You try to go out the next day and do a better job and bounce back,” Brady said.

“That’s how this sport is; when you’re losing everything is horrible and when you win you think everything is great, although it’s neither extreme.”

Tampa Bay‘s recent 23-21 overtime loss to the Cleveland Browns still resonates in the mind of the quarterback who is confident that there is still time to turn things around and qualify for the playoffs with a winning record.

“There is still a long season ahead for us,” Brady said. “There is still a lot of football to be played and we hope the best is ahead of us.”
