Years will go by in the world of football and the debate between whether Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Lionel Messi or Messi is better than Cristiano will always be going on somewhere.
The latest chapter of this comparison came on Saturday after the Argentinian player scored an overhead kick goal against Clermont.
Fans of the Portuguese player did not hesitate to compare the goal and the play with the one that Cristiano scored, while still a Real Madrid player, against Juventus in Turin.
A fan page of the Manchester United player posted a photo of Cristiano‘s famous overhead kick next to that of the Argentinian, and fans of both sides expressed their opinions, one of which did not go unnoticed by Cristiano Ronaldo‘s sister, Katia Aveiro.
“One action is a shot and the other is a bicycle kick,” read the comment that Aveiro liked.
“One is in the French championship against Clermont and the other in a Champions League play-off against Juventus.
“In one, the player has both hands on the turf, the other foot is also on the turf and there is barely a cushion between his body and the turf.
“While in the other image he has his body completely off the pitch and the space between his body and the pitch would fit another player.”
