Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray told Orlando Magic rookie Paolo Banchero on Sunday night that he ‘lost all respect’ for him because he changed ever since making it to the NBA.

Murray, 25, took to Instagram to tell Banchero that he’s no longer humble, claiming that the Magic rookie ‘tried to flex’ the fact the he was the No. 1 pick of the 2022 NBA Draft.

The whole fight started when Murray gave Banchero an early “welcome to the league” moment with a disrespectful dunk at the Zeke-End Pro-Am tournament at Tacoma Community College in Washington on Sunday.

After the dunk, Murray taunted Banchero by getting in his face, gesturing that he was “too small” and launching the ball at his chest.

He later went on IG to share the clip of him dunking over Banchero with the caption, “WELCOME TO THE BIG LEAGUES!!!!!! Disrespectful They Said….. Yeahhhhh I KNOW!!!!!!!! [Sic]”

Paolo Banchero responds to Dejounte Murray

Banchero, 19, shared Murray’s reel to his IG story and claimed that the Hawks guard unfollowed him.

Lol, unfollowed me on the gram and everything,” Banchero wrote. “Must be personal, huh? That’s fine, just make sure you guard up next time and stop sending doubles, family.”

That’s when Murray did not hold back with his response, saying he no longer respects Banchero after years of rooting for him.

Murray, who said he’ll keep on rooting for Banchero despite him no longer being humble, also claimed that the Magic rookie used to rebound for him when he was a kid.

Dejounte Murray holds nothing back

“You tried to flex that No. 1 pick sh-t on me when I’ve been rooting for you,” Murray wrote. “When you was a kid, asking to rebound for me.

“[Paolo Banchero] don’t get on this internet saying nothing. You changed from the humble kid you always was and I stand on real sh-t boy and you know.”

Murray continued by saying that even though Banchero has changed, he still wants to see him win.

“You made it and changed, and I lost all respect,” Murray wrote. “Stay humble. This life you’re in now is no joke.

I still wanna see you win ’cause that’s who I am.”

Paolo Banchero stays silent

Banchero no longer replied to Murray but he did retweet a fan who excused him for being a 19-year-old.

Murray and Banchero being the new NBA rivalry is something fans can start looking forward to in the upcoming season.

Both are competing in the Eastern Conference so they’ll cross path multiple times.

For now, enjoy Murray absolutely disrespecting Banchero with this wild dunk.
