After Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s legal teams offered their closing arguments after a six-week defamation trial on Friday, May 27, the jury began deliberations that will lead to the final verdict, but one character who was mentioned during the trial, Elon Musk, has reacted to the matter.
Although no one expected him to speak out about the legal fight between Depp and Heard, the billionaire entrepreneur has broken his silence and decided to share his point of view, as well as his personal wish, about the problems between the ex-marriage of actors.
What did Musk have to say about Heard and Depp?
It all started when MIT research scientist and podcaster Lex Fridman tweeted on Friday to weigh in on what the defamation lawsuit between Depp and Heard had left behind.
“My takeaways from Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial: 1. Fame is one hell of a drug (for some). 2. Psychiatrists & lawyers come in drastically varying levels of skill. Lying to millions of people is something humans are capable of. 4. Love can be messy. Mega pint of wine,” Fridman wrote.
The podcaster’s post garnered a slew of retweets and likes, even catching the attention of Tesla’s SEO, who to the surprise of many left a telling quote about the acting couple.
“I hope they both move on. At their best, they are each incredible,” Musk tweeted Saturday.

Depp and Heard’s brief marriage came to an end in 2016 and immediately the actress began dating Musk, from whom she split in 2017 and they gave each other a chance again as a couple in 2018, though they once again ended their romantic relationship.
However, Depp has accused Heard of cheating on him with Musk and actor James Franco while she was still married to the Pirates of the Caribbean star and during the trial the mogul’s name was mentioned, including apparent messages from the actor with threats against the Tesla SEO.

It is therefore unclear whether Musk’s Twitter reaction to the end of the Depp-Heard trial and his wishes for both actors are honest or simply an ironic response to what has transpired in recent weeks.
