Brian Robinson Jr. proved to be made of steel mentally and physically, the Washington Commanders rookie running back scored his first NFL touchdown after being shot in the leg on a robbery attempt.

Robinson made his league debut against the Tennessee Titans in week five, but it was in his second NFL game that he scored.

Robinson scored his first touchdown

Commanders was visiting Chicago, in the last quarter Robinson received the ball and broke through the Bears’ defense to reach the end zone and score his first touchdown. The running back celebrated with great enthusiasm along with his teammates.

Robinson Jr. finished with 17 carries, 60 yards and a touhdown, which gave Washington the win.

Brian Robinson talked about being shot

No one was more concerned than Robinson about his future in the NFL, despite everyone around him showing concern about his unfortunate situation.

Speaking to reporters about the shooting, the rookie running back said it was probably the lowest point he’s ever been in his life.

“My passion for this game runs deep. I never thought I would find myself in a situation where I would have to question or be questioned if I would be able to play soccer again,” he said.
