Thousands of people were duped today by a viral tweet regarding infamous NFL player and killer Aaron Hernandez.

Football star Aaron Hernandez was a standout at Bristol Central High School before going on to Florida, where he continued to shine, and being selected by the Patriots in the NFL draft.

His arrest and subsequent conviction for murder in 2015 marked the beginning of the end for everything.

“Following the success of ‘DAHMER’, Netflix is producing an Aaron Hernandez limited series with Jon Bernthal in the leading role,” read a tweet by parody account DisbussingjFilm, and of course, being the internet, everyone thought it was DiscussingFilm so hell ensued.

The best reactions to the fake tweet about the Aaron Hernandez series

One fan proposed the “Murder Cinematic Universe” in the style of what Marvel has been doing with their characters.

Others just got really mad about it.

Another one got weirdly excited of the possibility of this being the gateway to a possible Chris Benoit docu-series. Benoit was a very famous WWE wrestler that murder his family and then took his own life.

And some just got really emotional about the situation, which is understandable, but it was all fake. The series was never bound to happen, showing us the importance of reading before sharing or commenting on social media.

Finally, we have those that just want to watch the world burn.
