Gareth Bale is one of the biggest names in MLS following his move to LAFC.

Despite only appearing in one match so far, the Welshman is already a big attraction for those in Los Angeles and around the league.

However, in a league that uses a salary cap and has various financial rules, many are wondering how much the former Real Madrid and Tottenham star is making.

Although he has five Champions League titles to his name and earned a big paycheque while in Spain, that won’t be the case in the United States.

The Los Angeles Times reports he will only receive 1.6 million dollars this season.

That makes him quite the bargain, especially since LAFC didn’t have to pay a transfer fee after his contract with Real Madrid expired.

Breaking it down even further, Los Angeles will pay Bale around 133,000 a month.

Bale could have a new parter in attack

Given Los Angeles signed Bale without using one of their Designated Player spots, this means they can still land another big name. Carlos Vela is the only player currently under contract with that designation.

As a result, TUDN’s Michele Gianonne reports LAFC are considering bringing in another striker, which would give them quite the fearsome trio in attack.
