LAFC consolidated its position as the best team so far in the MLS regular season with a 3-1 home win over Dallas FC on Wednesday night in a match that was decided after an even first half with a pair of wonderful goals in the second half.

The match was decided with four minutes to go, when Ghana’s Kwadwo Opoku, who had come on as a substitute, received the ball outside the box and took a powerful shot from half distance that entered with great placement on the left side of Paes’ goal who, no matter how hard he tried, did not come close to stopping the shot.

With this result, LAFC consolidated its position as the best team in the Western Conference with 36 points, while FC Dallas remained in fourth place with 26 points.
