NFL legend Tom Brady was given 100 tickets to hand out to his friends and family by the San Francisco 49ers for the match against his team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on Sunday.

It was a massive game for Brady considering he grew up in the Bay Area of San Francisco and was a supporter of the 49ers during his childhood.

Antonio Brown talks about the conflict between him and Tom Brady

There were plenty of emotions involved for Brady during this game and that background is presumably why Brady was given so many tickets for friends and family, as it will likely be where the majority of them are living.

He will have had plenty of messages and phone calls from those he grew up with who wanted to get their hands on a ticket.

Incredibly, it was only the second time in his 23-season-long NFL career that he has played a game in San Francisco.

Brady‘s first and only previous game as a visiting player in San Francisco came when he was with the New England Patriots in 2016.

A massive ticket allocation for Tom Brady

FOX sideline reporter Erin Andrews said prior to kickoff that Brady requested 100 tickets from the 49ers for the game.

It was also reported by Andrews that 100 is a larger ticket allocation than Brady has ever needed to request, even for the 10 Super Bowls that he has had the pleasure of playing in.

The majority of the tickets were for near the last row of the balcony at Levi’s Stadium, as it was reported by ESPN’s Jeff Darlington earlier in the day that Brady‘s immediate family turned down an offer for better seats.

However, Brady‘s parents, Tom Sr. and Galynn, were shown sitting in luxury seats early on during the FOX broadcast.

A nightmare day for Tom Brady

He would have been looking forward to this game, but it didn’t go at all to plan against San Francisco and their young quarterback Brock Purdy.

Brady threw one touchdown, but also two interceptions as he finished with 34/55 completions for 253 yards, and a final score of 35-7.

That defeat leaves the Bucs at 6-7, so they face a battle to make the 2023 NFL playoffs.
