Jorge Masvidal launched a scathing attack on UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett, suggesting that the British fighter didn’t know how to fight.
The welterweight contender claims the 27-year-old Englishman lacks the skills to aspire to greater achievements in combat sports.
“I think he’s very entertaining and kind of wild, but from a skills point of view, right now, I don’t see him being a world champion,” Masvidal explained to the IMPAULSIVE podcast.
“However, that could change. But his skill set right now I don’t think he’s at the top.”
Could Logan Paul fight in the UFC?
Masvidal also touched on the prospect of Logan Paul being able to step into the octagon to measure his competitive level against a guy like Paddy Pimblett.
“I think Logan would win in a fight against him. Logan’s got the wrestling, bro. Englishmen don’t know how to fight,” Masvidal continued.
However, the chances of such a bout are looking distant, because Logan Paul is not signed to the UFC and even if it could happen, the two men are in two completely different weight classes.
Breaking his losing streak
As for what’s in store for Jorge Masvidal after UFC 272, he has three consecutive defeats and for a 37-year-old that could be a sign that retirement is knocking on the door.
“I’ve been doing this sport for quite some time … so I have a lot of information that I can use to go back and start dissecting that and see what works and what doesn’t in the future,” Masvidal added.
Now, there is a big question mark over how he will deal with his legal problems stemming from an alleged assault on Colby Covington.
