Luka Doncic is a special talent in the NBA, the Slovenian point guard just achieved something never seen before in NBA history, with triple double with at least 60 points and 20 rebounds, this happened in Tuesday’s overtime victory of the Dallas Mavericks over the New York Knicks by a score of 126-121.

Doncic’s seventh triple-double of the season was barely what owner Mark Cuban’s team needed to beat the Knicks, as the Mavs were down by nine points with 33 seconds left to play in the fourth period.

The play of the game came with 1.0 seconds to play, Dallas was down by two points and Doncic had a free throw that he missed on purpose, took the rebound and made a crazy shot that tied the score at 115 to go to overtime in front of the madness at the American Airlines Center.

As if that wasn’t enough, Doncic scored the most points in a game in the history of the Mavs franchise and his 21 rebounds are a personal best in a career that is in its fifth season, however, this very talented young man is only 23 years old. He also added 10 assists.

For the Knicks, Quentin Grimes‘ 33 points, a personal best, and Julius Randle‘s double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds were not enough in an unforgettable game for both teams.

What’s next for the Mavericks and the Knicks?

The Mavericks (19-16) got their fourth win in a row and are in seventh place in the Western Conference, 3.5 games behind the leaders Denver Nuggets, their next game will be this Thursday, December 29, when they host the Houston Rockets.

The Knicks (18-17) lost for the fourth consecutive time and are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, seven games behind the leaders Boston Celtics. They will return to the court on December 29 to visit the San Antonio Spurs.
