Cristiano Ronaldo‘s future remains uncertain, as Manchester United are set to face Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup on Thursday and Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday – their last two games before the World Cup.

Rumors have sparked about his potential departure from Old Trafford in January, but Manchester United have given a hint about Ronadlo’s future.

The Premier League club have unveiled a new mural at the Old Trafford, featuring Ronaldo, David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Ella Toone.

Ronaldo could stay put and see out his contract that runs until summer, with Manchester United having an option to extend it for another year.

Aged 37, the Portugal international is struggling to rediscover his form at the Red Devils, but fans and club are confident that he will manage to bounce back.

“That [movement in January] is speculation,” Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag said back in October.

“I count on Cristiano. So in this moment it is not an item.”
