When we think of multi-generational families related to American sports there are two that come to mind, the first is the Manning dynasty in the NFL made up of father Archie and heirs Peyton and Eli, and secondly we have the Curry family that has shined on the NBA court thanks to progenitor Del and his offspring Stephen and Seth.

Certainly they are not necessarily the best two, however, because of the illustriousness of these characters, as well as the confirmation of a father and two sons, we have given ourselves the task of comparing their mimbros to solve this doubt that can take away our sleep, who is better sports family, the Manning or the Curry?

Round 1: Archie Manning vs. Del Curry

First we look at the creators of these dynasties, let’s talk about Archie Manning, who without shining like his two sons was the best quarterback in the New Orleans Saints franchise prior to the arrival of Drew Brees, twice elected to the Pro Bowl and member of the Ring of Honor and the Hall of Fame of this franchise.

Del Curry, on the other hand, began his career with the Utah Jazz, however, the longest and most successful part of his career was with the Charlotte Hornets, where his most outstanding achievement was being the Sixth Man of the Year in the 1994 season, however, he never played in an All-Star Game.

Winner: Archie Manning

Round 2: Peyton Manning vs Stephen Curry

Clearly this is the star duel of this hypothetical game is this, let’s start with Peyton Manning, who is surely in the conversation of the best quarterbacks of all time having shined with the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos, being, at the time of his retirement the all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns, just to name a few of his greatest accomplishments.

Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all time, probably the player who has most changed the way the NBA is played and as of this season the all-time leading three-point shooter, is in search of a fourth championship and is the face of his only professional team franchise, the Golden State Warriors.

Winner: Tie

Round 3: Eli Manning vs. Seth Curry

This is the most evenly matched duel because if we talk about Eli Manning, we are talking about a candidate for the best quarterback in the history of the New York Giants and winner of two Super Bowls (MVP in both) and in both beating the legendary Tom Brady, most likely the next member of the Hall of Fame.

Seth Curry is a good supporting player in the NBA, who had to shine in the D-League to find his place in the best basketball league in the world, where he has not played a major role.

Winner: Eli Manning

Conclusions

While the Curry family is colorful and talented, we have to give the clear victory to the Manning family, with two wins to one tie, so the win is resounding.

Winners: The Manning Family
