Paris Saint-Germain easily dispatched Nantes 3-0 on Saturday to keep pace with rivals Marseille atop the Ligue 1 standings.

Les Phoceens took all three points against newly promoted Auxerre earlier in the day, and it was Kylian Mbappe who stepped up to lead the way for Christophe Galtier‘s side.

The star striker needed just 18 minutes to open the scoring, as his curled effort from the left side of the box left Alban Lafont with little to do.

Things went from bad to worse for the home side six minutes later when Fabio was sent off.

The former Manchester United defender was sent off for a horrible challenge on Vitinha, leaving his teammates with a huge mountain to climb.

PSG added a second after the restart, Mbappe tapping home a Lionel Messi pass across the face of goal after 55 minutes.

Although the Frenchman would miss out on scoring a hat-trick after being subbed off for Neymar, PSG added a third via Nuno Mendes in the 68th minute.

The result sees PSG move level with Marseille on 16 points after 6 matches, while Nantes sit 10th with six points.
