Real Madrid have made French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni one of their main summer transfer targets, with the Spanish team having already put in months of work to make a move possible.
However, things have changed recently, with PSG now in the mix. The French giants have reportedly made a big offer to Monaco and to Tchouameni, which has raised the difficulty for Real Madrid to push a deal over the finish line.
Nevertheless, one way or another, things are expected to come to a head this weekend as Monaco have to decide which offer to accept.
Real Madrid have remained firm in stating they will not match PSG‘s alleged bid of 100m euros, but the two French sides haven’t been able to complete a deal given that Tchouameni‘s preference is to join Los Blancos.
Monaco were reportedly caught off guard by PSG‘s offer, especially given the desire of the French midfielder to go to LaLiga Santander. However, Real Madrid also understand that the offer from the Ligue 1 giants is a tempting one for the player.

Real Madrid remain optimistic and haven’t changed the offer they made last Monday, and there is a growing sense of optimism with each passing hour.
The arrival of the French midfielder would almost certainly mean the departure of Dani Ceballos, leaving the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and, they hope, Tchouameni at Carlo Ancelotti‘s disposal.
