After announcing the signing of Antony for more than $100 million, Manchester United is ready to continue investing in its squad.
According to reports, Erik Ten Hag is interested in acquiring Sergiño Dest, the American defender has a current contract with Barcelona.
Segiño Dest is not in Xavi’s plans, and it does not seem that the situation will reverse. Barcelona is seeking to reinforce Dest’s position no matter if he stays or leaves.

“Manchester United are exploring the possibility of a deal for Barcelona right-back Sergiño Dest,” Sky Sports mentioned.
“If they can secure his signature, they will allow Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave for West Ham or Crystal Palace, who are interested in signing him.”
Xavi already told Segiño Dest that he will not see any minutes in any competitions. The Catalan coach believes Dest doesn’t fit into his ideal team.
However, the American full-back wants to make the most of his chances. Dest understands he could not play at all if he stays in Barcelona, but he doesn’t want to leave to a less competitive team.

Diogo Dalot is Manchester United’s first-choice right-back at the beginning of the season.
The Portuguese player has performed well during the first weeks of the Premier League. Dalot assisted Bruno Fernandes for the team’s only goal against Southampton at the weekend.
However, bringing in a player like Sergiño Dest, who is more familiar with Ten Hag’s system, could be a good move for Manchester United.
