The Golden State Warriors point guard, Stephen Curry, has had a good start to the NBA season individually, however, his team has been far below the level that led them to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy as NBA champions last season, therefore, the concern in the San Francisco team is major after the unfortunate injury he suffered this Wednesday during the loss against the Indiana Pacers.

The injury occurred with 2:04 minutes to play in the third quarter, when Curry extended his left arm to try to steal the ball from Jalen Smith of the Pacers who had entered the paint, the “Chef” touched the ball, but immediately felt pain in his shoulder and immediately grabbed the injured part with his other arm with a gesture full of pain.

The MVP of the past NBA Finals immediately went to the locker room of the visiting team to be examined and at the beginning of the fourth period coach Steve Kerr ruled him out for the rest of the game, it is unknown at the moment how serious the injury is and how long he will be out of the court.

One year of Stephen Curry’s three-pointer record

The injury is especially bitter for Curry as this day marks the one-year anniversary of the date on which he broke the record for most three-pointers made in a career held at the time by Ray Allen.

During his stay in the game vs. Pacers, Curry was having a great performance, as he scored 38 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, however, after his departure the team fell apart and were defeated by Indiana by a score of 125-119.

What’s next for the Warriors?

After this loss, the Warriors’ record dropped to 14-15, they are in tenth place in the Western Conference, the next game for Golden State will be next Friday, December 16 when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers.
