Tyson Fury is retiring from boxing, but the heavyweight champion could continue to appear in a ring of another kind by stepping into the world of WWE.

Fury claimed a sixth-round knockout win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium last Saturday night, and afterwards he hinted at stepping away from the sport.

“I’ve got to speak to Vince [McMahon, WWE CEO] and the boys, maybe make this happen,” Fury said when asked about stepping into WWE.

Tyson Fury’s wrestling history

Fury previously appeared in wrestling in 2019, then beating Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia. Weeks later, he teamed up with Strowman in an episode of SmackDown.

It is now thought that Fury could appear at SummerSlam in Tennessee on July 30.

“Don’t rule me out of fighting there,” Fury said of the WWE‘s upcoming event in Cardiff on September 3.

“You might see me at SummerSlam. We’re definitely going to make a bit of contact and see if we can make that SummerSlam thing a reality.

“I enjoyed it last time in Saudi Arabia, it was fantastic, so to come here and do it would be phenomenal. I’d love to be at Cardiff, I’d love to be in the centre stage in the UK.”
