Few fights captured more viewer attention than the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather that took place in 2017 in Las Vegas. Two highly recognizable personalities, charismatic and controversial at the same time, met in Las Vegas.

“I hit you a lot in the early rounds,” said a McGregor who offered a good image against the Michigan fighter, one of the best boxers of all time.

The Irishman, who went down via knockout in the 10th round, was not happy with the referee’s decision to stop the fight. “That was quick, referee. It was too fast, it was premature,” he referred to Robert Byrd at the end of the fight as reported by MMA.uno.

Respect prevailed after the fight was over. Mayweather was positive about McGregor’s skills at the end of the fight. Money was happy with the show he put on.

Mayweather also spoke

“He’s much better than I thought. He used different angles, he’s a tough competitor, but I was better,” Mayweather revealed, satisfied after securing another victory.

McGregor is looking for a return to the UFC, where the fighter made a name for himself worldwide. However, he does not rule out a return to the ring in the near future.
